The
Exact-CAM module (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) is the
logical complement to the Exact-Cost module. It
contains the essential elements for a wider functionality
by adding different functions that are required by certain
manufacturing environments (inventory control, sales,
purchasing, production, labour, bar code printing),
each one of them providing a specific function relating
to the management of production flows.
Presentation
Exact-CAM is intended mainly for manufacturers who make
a suite of standard and nonstandard products. Exact-CAM
has not been designed for assembly line work.
Exact-CAM is at its fullest potential when production
management of parts containing subcomponents, belonging
to predefined production phases, require a follow up
to compare the standard production time versus real
time. For those who haven't already determined the standard
time, Exact-CAM becomes the ideal tool for establishing
it, beginning with the history of the current year real-time
average.
